OUR STORY

Our story started with a swipe on Hinge at the end of 2024. Before we had even met, Christina showed Austin's profile to her best friend and said, "I'm going to date this guy." Little did either of us know just how right that feeling would be.

On January 4, 2025, we went on our first date at the Key Biscayne Yacht Club. We laughed nonstop and had such a great time...maybe a little too much fun, because Austin ended the night with a chipped tooth after taking a fall. Fortunately, that didn't scare either of us away. The very next morning, we met up again and spent the day together at the Pinecrest Farmers Market, chipped tooth and all.

From that weekend on, everything felt easy. We quickly realized we had found something special, and our relationship grew into a friendship filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support.

Nearly two years later, Austin brought our story full circle by proposing at the very place where it all began, the Key Biscayne Yacht Club. It was the perfect reminder that sometimes the best journeys begin with one simple swipe, a leap of faith, and a first date you'll never forget.

We can't wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you!

Getting Here
Ocean Reef Club is located in Key Largo, approximately 60 miles south of Miami. Miami International Airport (MIA) is the most convenient major airport, with Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) as an additional option.

Plan Ahead for the Drive
Travel times to the Florida Keys can vary significantly depending on traffic, particularly on Friday afternoons. We recommend allowing plenty of extra time for the drive and arriving early so you can settle in and enjoy the weekend.

Rental Cars
Guests staying outside of Ocean Reef may find having a rental car helpful for getting around Key Largo during their stay. However, transportation will be provided to guests staying at or arriving from the room block properties for the welcome party and wedding.

Transportation

For guests staying at Ocean Reef Club, we recommend renting a golf cart for an easy and convenient way to get around the property during the weekend. Golf carts are not required, but they are a great way to explore the Club and travel between accommodations, dining, and activities.

Golf carts can be reserved when booking your accommodations. If you have already booked your stay and did not reserve one, we recommend contacting Ocean Reef Club directly to add a golf cart to your reservation at the preferred wedding rate.

Transportation will be provided to guests staying at or arriving from the room block properties for the welcome party and wedding. Transportation will depart promptly at 5:15pm for the Welcome Party.

Guests staying elsewhere off property are welcome to drive or use a rideshare service to Reefhouse Resort & Marina and take the provided transportation from there.

If you are not staying at the Reefhouse, but would like to use the transportation, please let us know in your RSVP response.

Guests staying at Ocean Reef Club will be responsible for their own transportation to and from wedding events and may use their personal vehicle or golf cart.

Transportation schedules and additional details will be shared closer to the wedding.

As a guest staying at Ocean Reef Club, you’ll have access to many of the Club’s amenities throughout your stay. Whether you’re looking to relax by the water, enjoy a little friendly competition, or unwind before the wedding festivities, there’s plenty to enjoy during the weekend.

Some activities and amenities may require advance reservations or additional fees. We recommend making reservations in advance when possible.

Reefhouse Resort & Marina offers plenty of ways to enjoy some downtime between wedding festivities, including waterfront pools, a private beach, water activities, and on-site dining. Guests can also explore the surrounding Key Largo area, with boating, snorkeling, fishing, and other water activities nearby.

There are plenty of dining options to enjoy throughout the weekend without ever leaving the Club.

Breakfast & Coffee
Start your morning at The Ocean Room for a sit-down breakfast or stop by Reef Treats in the Fishing Village for coffee, breakfast and something quick to go.

Lunch & Casual Dining
For lunch, drinks or a casual bite, favorites include the Raw Bar, Burgee Bar, Reef Hut, Palm Court / Islander, and the Beach Bar & Grill at Buccaneer Island.

Dinner
For guests looking to make additional dinner plans during their stay, Gianni Ristorante offers Italian cuisine, while Islander & Sushi Bar offers seafood and sushi.

February is peak season at Ocean Reef, and restaurants can fill up quickly. If you plan to dine at one of the Club's dinner restaurants, we strongly recommend making reservations well in advance. Ocean Reef currently requires reservations for both Gianni and Islander.

Groceries & Snacks
For guests who would like to stock their room, condo or home with groceries, snacks, beverages or other essentials, Wynn's Market is conveniently located within Ocean Reef Club.

Don’t leave Ocean Reef without trying the chicken fingers or the Buffalo chicken Caesar wrap — two of our all-time favorites!

Dining at Reefhouse Resort and Marina

Guests staying at Reefhouse have convenient dining options right at the resort. Gus' Grille serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Breezer's Tiki Bar offers casual waterfront dining and drinks.

RESORT DRESS CODE

Ocean Reef Attire

Ocean Reef Club maintains a longstanding dress code throughout the property. For dining, Club Casual attire is generally required. Gentlemen should wear collared shirts with dress trousers or appropriate walking-length shorts, with equally appropriate attire for ladies. Frayed or torn clothing is not permitted, and midriffs must be covered. Smart denim is permitted at most dining outlets.

Gentlemen are expected to remove hats when entering most Club facilities, and backwards baseball caps are not permitted in Club areas.

When away from the beach and pools on Buccaneer Island, bathing suit cover-ups and footwear are required.

We encourage guests to keep these guidelines in mind when packing for the weekend.

While we love your little ones, we kindly request that our wedding celebration be an adults-only affair. We hope you take this opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved night out!

Babysitting Services
For guests traveling with children, babysitting services may be available through Ocean Reef Club. As our wedding celebration is adults-only, we strongly recommend arranging childcare well in advance. Please keep in mind that February is peak season at Ocean Reef, and babysitting availability may be limited.
